Phase 39 and ARPA-R Emergency Food and shelter program funding applications are available

Jefferson County EFSP

The National Emergency Food and Shelter Program has announced award amounts for Phase 39 and ARPA-R. The following amounts have been awarded to Jefferson County:

Phase 39: $35,592

Phase ARPA-R: $110,006

The program is governed by a National Board composed of representatives of the County Government, The American Red Cross, The United Way of Northern New York, Salvation Army, Catholic Charities, Community Action, Community Representatives, The Jewish Federation, and a homeless advocate. The Board is chaired by a representative of the Community Action Planning Council of Jefferson County, Inc.

Local organizations, whether nonprofit or governmental, may apply. The Local Board is responsible for considering all applications, and for determining which organizations will receive funds. The Local Board also determines which services are funded.

Below is a timeline containing important dates for Phase 39 and ARPA-R:

  • February 17, 2022: Public notified of EFSP award amounts, applications made available.
  • March 7, 2022: Application deadline for Phase 39 and ARPA-R

 

Interested organizations must fill out an application (separately if applying for both phases) and submit it to Tammy Kitto, Jefferson County Local Board Chair, at her email address: tkitto@capcjc.org.

Applications must be received by Monday, March 7, 2022 before 4pm to be considered for funding.
