Food Pantry/ Rural Mobile Pantry
When the household budget will stretch no further, members of the community can turn to the Community Action Food Pantry for short-term emergency food assistance. Visitors to the pantry are provided with a five-day supply of food which includes a nutritional balance of the major food groups.
The pantry receives financial support from a variety of sources, including the Food Bank of Central NY, the Emergency Food and Shelter Program (EFSP), Hunger Prevention Nutrition Assistance Program (HPNAP), the Community Services Block Grant (CSBG), and the Northern New York Community Foundation, as well as donations and food drives coordinated by area businesses and individuals.
For more information about the Food Pantry, contact Caroline Feasler at 315.782.4900, ext. 222.
