Community Action Planning Council is gearing up for the second annual Seeds & Needs campaign with promotional support from local radio station TUNES 92.5 FM. We are collecting packets of fruit and vegetable seeds, small potting spades, start-up potting cups, and bags of potting soil – all of which will be used to promote and encourage healthy eating to low-income families.
The local community is invited to support Seeds & Needs by making a financial contribution, organizing a gardening supply drive or placing a box within your place of work that encourages customers and coworkers to donate gardening supplies. Or help spread the word about Seeds & Needs. Click here to download and print the flyer.
In June, we celebrate the campaign’s success with a special “Come Grow with Community Action” event, during which individuals will be provided with the knowledge and supplies to start their own
Community Action Planning Council is home to a food pantry, and each year we distribute food to thousands of low-income households who cannot afford healthy food options. By supporting Seeds & Needs, you help to make fresh produce more accessible to these families.
