Elks Care ~ Elks Share … that’s the Elks Club motto … and it certainly rang true at Community Action Planning Council today when members of Watertown Elks Lodge #496 stopped by to deliver winter coats for children of low-income families.
The purchase of 202 coats was made possible by a grant from the National Elks Foundation and donations from members of Watertown Elks Lodge #496. Kmart offered discounted pricing on a colorful array of warm coats, all of which were most appreciated by the youngsters. Several families were on hand to thank members of the Elks Lodge for their longstanding support during a special celebration of the Coats for Kids program, now in its 17th year.

Sincere thanks to the fine folks at Watertown Elks Lodge #496, the National Elks Foundation and Kmart for supporting Coats for Kids.
