Pre-Kindergarten (Pre-K)

Community Action Planning Council operates Pre-K in collaboration with Watertown and Indian River School Districts. Income guidelines do not apply; families must reside within the districts. Pre-K includes family service support with home visits to assess family interests and needs. Classroom are located in the following schools:

  • Watertown School District – 5-hour instruction at Sherman Elementary and 6-hour at Ohio and North Elementary Schools
  • Indian River School District – 2 1/2-hour instruction at Calcium, Evans Mills and Philadelphia Primary Schools

 

Universal Pre-K provides at no cost to families:

    • Research based curriculum
    • Morning and afternoon sessions
    • Health and developmental screenings
    • Outdoor activities
    • Field trips
    • Kindergarten transition services
