Universal Pre-K

The Community Action Planning Council operates Universal Pre-K in collaboration with Watertown and Indian River School Districts. Income guidelines do not apply; families must reside within the districts. Universal Pre-K includes family service support with home visits to assess family interests and needs. Classroom instruction is 2 1/2 hours per day at the following locations:

• Watertown School District - Sherman Elementary, Starbuck Elementary, Ohio Street School
• Indian River School District - Theresa, Calcium and Evans Mills Primary Schools

Universal Pre-K provides at no cost to families:

• Research based curriculum
• Morning and afternoon sessions
• Health and developmental screenings
• Outdoor activities
• Field trips
• Kindergarten transition services
