Officer Brian Canell and inmates of the Cape Vincent Correctional Facility donated 62 “Gardens-in-a-Bucket” to the Community Action Planning Council for distribution to Jefferson County residents. Each bucket contained a hearty tomato or green pepper plant. Part of the correctional facility’s community garden initiative, these portable gardens area great source of fresh vegetables, especially for those with limited space for growing a garden.
